Contact & corrections
NYC Property Facts is an independent website. It republishes public records from NYC Open Data and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the City of New York or any city agency.
Correcting a record
We do not edit city records. Each fact on a property page comes from a dataset that a city agency publishes on NYC Open Data, and each section of the page links to its source. If a record is wrong (for example a violation that was resolved, an old owner name, or a wrong sale price), please ask the agency that published it to correct it. When the corrected record appears in NYC Open Data, this site picks it up on its next sync. Most datasets are checked daily; the About the data page lists the schedule and the last update of each one.
Records on the wrong property, or shown incorrectly
Records are matched to a tax lot by the BBL (borough, block and lot) that the agency recorded. If the agency recorded the wrong BBL, the record will appear on the wrong page until the agency corrects it.
Removal requests
Property pages show public records as the City of New York publishes them. We cannot remove a record that remains in the city's published data, and a record removed or corrected at the source disappears or changes here after the next sync.
